Basta Pasta was first established in Tokyo, Japan in 1985.
After success in Tokyo, Basta Pasta NYC opened it’s doors in Chelsea in 1990.

The restaurant was designed as a kitchen theater with an open dining room in an ever rotating art gallery setting. It was quickly celebrated as a unique dining experience and has become a beloved neighborhood spot for many locals.

Executive chef Takada’s authentic, yet creative Italian dishes have been attracting and intriguing people from all over the world for almost three decades.
